Welcome to the Grey Ghost Chapter Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club website.
This year, 2018, is a significant milestone for the Grey Ghost Chapter, as we are celebrating our tenth year as the first Nam Knights of America Motorcycle chapter established in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Established in 1989 by Vietnam-era veterans, the founding members of the Nam Knights of America sought to recapture the brotherhood they had shared with other members of the US armed forces during those years.
The Nam Knights MC mission is to honor the service and memory of all military veterans and police officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty, and to assist veterans and police officers in their time of need. To accomplish our mission, we raise military veteran and law enforcement visibility by sponsoring and participating in community events. Grey Ghost also combines it efforts with other Nam Knights MC chapters, local motorcycle clubs, and law enforcement organizations to assist veterans and police officers.
Our chapter membership is comprised of military veterans (including active duty), active and retired law enforcement officers. However, a percentage of our membership is reserved for Patriots who have neither served in the military or law enforcement but whom have demonstrated the passion and desire to a member of the Nam Knights of America MC.
The journey is not quick or easy. Becoming a Nam Knight "patched member" requires that every member go through a length of time as a hang around, then as a prospect, which could last for as long as one year. Each prospective member must commit the time to learn if the Nam Knights MC is right for him, and for the Chapter membership to determine if the prospective member is right for the Nam Knights MC. Every prospect is expected to attend, and assist with, as many chapter functions as possible to maximize the amount of time and visibility between himself and the Grey Ghost Chapter members.
